How to fix Netflix Error NW-2-5 SAMSUNG Smart TV? [Solved]

Samsung smart TVs come with built-in streaming capabilities. If you’re streaming Netflix on the TV over a wireless network, chances are that you have come across the Netflix Error NW-2-5. It indicates a network connectivity issue that prevents your smart TV from connecting to Netflix. This error becomes irksome, particularly since there is no way to open the streaming device. Below are the troubleshooting techniques to clear this error.

  1. Stream-supporting Network:
    1. See that Netflix services are not blocked by the network administrator if you’re using a public Wi-Fi network.
    2. Try connecting the smart TV to a different network.
  2.
  3. Confirm Connection:
    1. Launch an app and check the internet connection.
  4.
  5. Restart the TV:
    1. Unplug your TV from the power outlet and wait about 1 minute before proceeding.
    2. Push and then hold down the Power button for about 5 seconds to discharge the current remaining in it.
    3. If the TV doesn’t have a Power button, leave the TV unplugged for 3 minutes.
    4. Power up the TV again.
    5. Switch it on and launch Netflix.
  6.
  7. Reboot the home network:
    1. Disconnect the devices from each other and leave them unplugged for 30 seconds.
    2. Power down the smart TV.
    3. Pull out the wireless router from the power socket for 30 seconds.
    4. Insert the router into the wall outlet and wait until no new indicator lights are blinking on.
    5. Power on the smart TV and open Netflix.
  8.
  9. Direct Connection:
    1. Turn off the smart TV.
    2. Make use of an Ethernet cable to link the smart TV directly to the modem.
    3. Detach the modem from the power outlet for at least 30 seconds.
    4. Power it up and then wait until no new indicators are blinking.
    5. Start Netflix again and see if the error is fixed.
  10.
  11. Improve the signal:
    1. Place the router in a new location to improve the signal.
    2. See that the router is in a central position in your house.
    3. Keep cordless phones and microwave devices away from your router.
    4. Position the router on an elevated surface rather than on the floor.
