How to Fix Can't Connect to the Minecraft Server?

Minecraft server is a gaming server that allows multi-player gaming. The server file is available on the web, either you can download and install it on your system or connect to another player’s server easily. You can also set up your Minecraft server and customize it according to your need. Sometimes you may face connection issues due to weak internet connection, security settings, outdated server version, and other temporary issues. The below solutions will help you if you can’t connect to Minecraft Server.

Solution-1: Check the Internet Connection

Poor internet service would disrupt the server connection.

Click the Wi-Fi icon on your computer and check the network status.

If the computer is not connected to the network, click Disconnect to disable and turn it on again. Open the browser and see if the internet is working.

If the computer gets connected to the internet, then check the connection status on the Minecraft server interface. If the server still could not connect, the problem must be with the server.

Solution-2: Update the Minecraft Server

Using an old server can also lead to connection issues. So, visit the official Minecraft Java Edition page from a browser.

You can find the latest server version on the page.

If you don’t have it, then download and install it.

Now, restart the computer and configure the server settings.
