Default ID and Password for HP LaserJet MFP M72630 [Solved]


When you turn on the printer for the first time, the default login ID and password of your HP Laserjet multi-functional printer is displayed on the printer screen. The default login ID of the printer is admin. You can use this login id for the initial setup process.

Similarly, enter the default login id and password of the printer when prompted to. If you use the user id as admin, then leave the password field blank and click the OK button. To change the password of your HP Laserjet MFP M72630 printer, navigate to the Security tab section. Follow the on-screen instructions and set the new password as per your need.

If you forget the password and user id during login, then

  • click the Advanced Settings on the warning page.
  • Select the Proceed to the Page option and type the user id as admin.
  • Leave the password field as blank as discussed above.
  • If you want to reset the log id and password of your printer, then get the IP address of your printer.
  • Note the IP address printed on the printer label.
  • You can also get the IP address by printing a printer info page.
  • Open a web browser and type the noted IP address of the printer in the search field.
  • Navigate to the Security Tab- Administrative Settings and set the new password as per your wish.
