Netflix says 'Cannot Play Title' and Shows Error Code 30103 - How to Fix


If you're here, probably you've been hit with the error code 30103 on your face already. When trying to stream Netflix, the iPhone, iPod, or iPad shows the error message "Cannot play title. Please try again later. ( 30103)". This interruption might be due to network connectivity issues. 

 
  1. Restart your iOS device:
    1. Press down the Sleep/Wake button until the red slider appears.
    2. Slide the slider to power down the device completely.
    3. Tap the Sleep/Wake button after 10 seconds to switch on the device.
    4. Launch Netflix once the device turns on.
  2. Check the Network:
    1. Verify that the Netflix service has not been blocked by your network administrator.
    2. Try connecting to a different network.
    3. It is suggested to have cable internet or DSL instead of cellular data and satellite internet connection.
    4. Reboot the network:
    5. Switch off the mobile device.
    6. Detach the modem from the power outlet for 30 seconds.
    7. Insert the modem back into the outlet and wait until no new indicator lights are blinking.
    8. Switch on the device and launch Netflix.
  3. Improve the Wi-Fi signal:
    1. In order to improve the signal strength, shift the router to a new location.
    2. See that the router is at the center of the house so that every device receives the signal well.
    3. Keep other electromagnetic devices such as cordless phones or microwave ovens away from the router.
    4. Place the router on an elevated table for better signal reception.
  4. Connect to a different network:
    1. Tap the Home button on your device.
    2. Select Settings > Wi-Fi.
    3. Pick a different network and connect to it.
    4. Open Netflix again on the iOS device.
  5. Reset Connection Settings:
    1. Disable any proxy services or Virtual Private Network.
    2. Establish a direct connection between the device and the home network.
    3. Reset the device to acquire DNS automatically.
