How to fix NETFLIX UI-800-2 for ROKU and Other Smart TVs [Solution]

Connecting your TV to the Internet is the trend these days. The television industry itself is being transformed with the advent of smart TVs. The development is hastened further by the increase in the use of streaming devices & apps such as Roku, Hulu, and Netflix. As opposed to the conventional TV channels where you watch programs at specific times dictated by the channel itself, Netflix allows you to watch your favorite program whenever you feel like it.

No longer do you need to wait for streaming Netflix on Roku or other smart TVs, unless you’re hindered by the display of an error code. The error code UI-800-2 indicates the device’s inability to access the information stored on the device. Refresh the data with the following troubleshooting techniques.

Restart Your Roku Device:

  1. Power down the Roku device for at least 10 seconds.
  2. Detach the power cord from the wall outlet to discharge the device.
  3. Turn the device on by pressing any of the Roku remote buttons.
  4. Launch Netflix after a minute.

Reboot the Smart TV:

  1. Pull out the power cord of the TV from the electric socket.
  2. After a minute of waiting, press down the Power button on the TV for 5 seconds.
  3. The remaining current on the TV is discharged.
  4. Plug the TV back in and switch it on.
  5. Open Netflix on your TV now.

Log Out of Netflix:

  1. On the screen displaying error in the Netflix app, head to More Info.
  2. If the More Info option is not found, select Settings / Gear icon.
  3. Access the deactivation screen with the following sequence of key presses: Up, Up, Down, Down, Left, Right, Left, Right, Up, Up, Up, Up.
  4. Choose Reset or Sign Out/Deactivate.

We suggest you resort to the below-given methods only if none of the already mentioned steps work out.

  1. Upgrade the TV’s firmware to the latest version.
  2. Perform a Factory Reset on the smart TV.
