Sprocket 200 Not Being Detected [Solved]

Follow these guidelines if the Sprocket 200 is not detected and the print job fails to be printed.

  • Check whether the Sprocket device is charged and is connected to your mobile smart device through a Bluetooth connection. Also, ensure that the Sprocket’s firmware is up-to-date.
  • Power on the Sprocket and then launch the HP sprocket app.
  • Touch the Menu icon on the app and select Sprocket.
  • Choose Manage Printers and check whether your Sprocket device is selected. Touch Printer Settings and navigate to the Status section.

Go to the Battery option and check whether there is at least 25% battery charge. If it is lower, charge the device and proceed to the following steps.

  • Check whether there is photo paper in the Sprocket device’s input tray.
  • Enable 'Location services' on your mobile device and check whether the issue is resolved.
  • Detach the Sprocket’s paper cover and use a needle-like object to press and hold the Reset button for three seconds. The Sprocket is reset and gets turned off.
  • Update your Sprocket’s firmware from the Printer Settings on the HP sprocket app which you have installed on your smartphone. This should resolve the detection issue. If it doesn’t, contact HP Customer Support.
