CANON PIXMA MX870 PRINTER ISSUE [SOLVED]
Follow the below-stated solutions to rectify the issue. First, you have to reseat the print head of your Canon printer.
- Ensure that the Canon MX870 printer is turned on and then raise the paper output tray. The proceeding step is to lift the scanning unit.
- Uninstall the ink cartridges from its slot and raise the printhead lock lever.
- Pull the printhead gently in the forward direction and take it out of the Canon printer. Be careful not to touch the nozzles, electrical contacts, or ink supply ports.
- After a few seconds, lower the printhead into its slot and then push the lock lever gently until you hear a clicking sound.
- Place the ink tanks and close the scanner cover.
- Clean the printhead by navigating to the Setup option and selecting the Maintenance option.
- Tap Cleaning and press the OK option on the Confirmation screen. Wait till the cleaning process is over and the nozzle check pattern is printed.
If you are not satisfied with the quality, you can follow the same procedure to clean the printhead again. If the issue persists, then perform a deep cleaning process.
- Select the Maintenance option from the Setup menu.
- Select the Deep Cleaning option and tap OK on the next screen that appears.
- Wait till the deep cleaning process is over. The nozzle check pattern will be printed.
- Verify the pattern to check if there are any lines missing. Also, check if there are any streaks.
- Based on the quality, you can perform the cleaning process again.
