How to Clean Page Feeder Manually?


To clean the page feeder manually, go with the instructions given below.

  • Power off the printer.
  • Make sure to disconnect the power cables from the printer and take the remaining paper from the input tray.
  • On your printer, open the front access door to locate the printer's rollers.
  • Rollers are made up of rubber which is black or gray in color.
  • Get a lint-free cloth to clean the rollers.
  • Dip the clean-lint cloth into water or alcohol and wipe the rollers.
  • Ensure not to use a chemical cleaner or organic solvents to clean the rollers.
  • Wait for the rollers to dry and then slide the paper tray back into the printer.
  • Close the printer’s access door and perform a test print. If you still face the paper feed problem after cleaning the roller, change the roller.

  • Before starting the process, make sure to turn off the printer and disconnect the power cables from it.
  • Open the ink cartridge access door of the printer and then gently remove the printer cartridge out.
  • Now, look for roller inside the printer. Once you see it, release the small white tabs on either side of the roller.
  • To remove the roller from the printer, rotate it and then gently pull it out.
  • Place the new roller in the slot, turn the top of it until it snaps into place.
  • After changing the roller, reinsert the printer cartridge, and then close the access door.
  • Power on the printer and check the printer status.
