Printer problem - HP Officejet 6520 printer [Solved]

Are you using the HP Officejet 6520 printer?
  • At times, when you attempt to print, it may fail to print in black. This particular issue can be due to various reasons such as low ink level, incompatible ink cartridges, etc. If you have refilled the ink cartridge, the print quality may deteriorate.
  • You need to check the ink level periodically. You can view an estimated level of ink in the cartridge either using the HP Smart App or printer’s control panel. Replace the old, empty ink cartridge with a new one.
  • Check if the ink cartridge is compatible with the printer model.
  • You can get genuine cartridges from HP Sure Supply. You need to print a Quality Diagnostic Page. The initial stage of printing a document is to load plain sheets of paper in the tray.
  • Touch the Settings icon on the printer’s control panel.
  • Tap Tools and then select Print Quality report. If there is an issue with the colors bar on the page, wipe the printhead.
  • Now, find the Settings icon on the printer’s control panel. Tap Tools followed by Clean Printhead. If the print quality is unsatisfactory, tap the Clean Again option to perform a deeper cleaning. If there are defects in the printed patterns, align the printhead.
  • Choose the Settings option, locate the Tools option, and then tap the Align Printer option.
  • Once the alignment completes, try to print a document. If you have refilled the ink cartridge, the quality of the printouts may not be satisfactory.
  • You need to install a genuine, compatible HP cartridge.
  • Try to print from the printer.
