False paper jam error [Solved]
The paper jam error is a common issue occurring in most printers. Below are the steps for fixing the paper jam or false paper jam error in the HP Envy 4527 printer. First, locate the area where the paper jam has occurred. A paper jam can take place in the following areas: input tray, output tray, ink cartridge access area, in the ADF, and underneath the printer. Remove the paper or any object causing the jam in those areas.
Now, take the paper stack out of the paper tray. Align the stack properly. While placing the arranged paper stack back in the tray, adjust the paper width guide according to the size of the paper you are placing. After placing the stack, push the input tray into the printer. Close cartridge access door of your printer. Now, check if the carriage moves freely without any obstruction. Wait until the carriage is idle before you proceed further. If you find any obstruction, remove it and close the ink cartridge access door. Check beneath the printer and remove any jammed paper or torn paper bits. Power on your printer.
At times, running an automated utility for cleaning the page smear can fix the paper jam error. If the error persists, try cleaning the paper feed rollers manually. While cleaning the rollers, disconnect the power and the USB cable of your printer.
If the issue persists, try resetting your printer. Power on your printer if it is not turned on. While the printer is turned on, disconnect the USB and power cable from it. Wait for some time, reconnect the cables, and power on your printer.
