Issues: DeskJet 2630 - Printing Wrong Colors [Solved]


HP Deskjet 2630 printer does not print any colors properly; it can be due to different reasons.

  • Check if the cartridge installed is genuine and compatible.
  • Detach the printer's power cable from the printer’s rear and the wall socket. If a USB cable is connected to the printer.
  • Try to unplug it Wait for at least 2 to 3 seconds.Force press the Power button for about 30 seconds.
  • Connect the power cable straight to a wall outlet without the help of a surge protector and then turn on the printer.
  • Check the reason for the poor print quality.
  • Verify if there are ink smears on the back of the printouts.
  • Use the HP Printer Assistant on your Windows system to clean ink smears.
  • Locate the Power button and press on it to turn on.
  • In Windows, type the printer name and choose the printer name from the list of available devices.
  • Wait until the HP Printer Assistant opens.
  • Select the Print and Scan option.
  • Select the Maintain Your Printer option.
  • Halt until the printer toolbox displays.
  • Select the Clean Printer option on the Devices Services tab.
  • A single page is inserted slowly and some noise for around one minute.
  • Refrain until the page is out of the printer.
  • You can also use the HP Utility software on your Mac system.
  • Select the Apple menu and click the System Preferences option.
  • Choose the Print and Scan or Printers and Scanners option based on the operating system.
  • Choose the Options and Supplies tab.
  • Click the Open Printer Utility option under the Utility tab Select the Clean Back of Page Smear icon. Select Clean to start the cleaning process.
