Deskjet 2630 - not printing after replace cartridges [Solved]


This issue can be easily overcome by performing the upcoming steps.
  • Check whether you have removed the small protective tape covering the nozzle.
  • Your printer may not recognize the newly installed ink cartridge or may read it as empty if you fail to reset the ink cartridge counter. If the cartridge is stored in sat for a long time, you need to run the extended cleaning to overcome major print issues.
  • Refer to the printer manual to learn how to run the cleaning cycle.
  • Print a test page once you finish running the cleaning cycle.
  • Open the cartridge access door and ascertain that the cartridges are placed in their respective slots.
  • The color of the cartridge should match that of the color of the slot, if not remove and reinsert the cartridges.
  • Press the cartridge properly until you hear a click sound.
  • In some cases the cartridge may not have aligned properly, to overcome this, you need to remove and reinsert the cartridges and print an alignment page.
  • This ensures that your cartridges are aligned properly.
  • You also need to check the ink cartridge contacts properly so that there are no ink leaks or damaged nozzles. If so, clean the printheads carefully.
  • Now print a test page. If you find any smears of streaks of ink on the page, open the HP application on your computer and use the Clean Page Smears option to eliminate this issue.
