COPY FUNCTION RESULTS IN ONLY PART OF THE PAGE BEING SCANNED


In HP printers any issue related to scanning, copying, fax, and printing can be fixed by performing the troubleshooting steps. To resolve the scanning error, follow the instructions given below.

  1. You can reset the printer to determine the scanner mechanism.
  2. If resetting the printer did not solve the issue, check the power connection of the printer.
  3. Press the Turn On button to switch On your printer.
  4. Remove the power cord from the printer and the wall socket with the printer power On.
  5. Wait for 20 seconds and connect the power cord into the wall socket. Do not use adapters while connecting the printer to the power supply.
  6. Power On the printer and calibrate the scanner.
  7. Place a single sheet of paper with an unfolded edge into the scanner.
  8. When the printer pulls the paper into the printer, scan light begins to glow.
  9. Search your printer model from the list of printers in the Printers and Scanners option.
  10. Select Print and then choose Maintain Your Printer to open the printer toolbox.
  11. Choose the Scan Services tab and click Calibrate Scanner.
  12. Select OK when the calibration completes.

If the issue persists, you can run the HP Print and Scan Doctor to rule out the scanner issue.

  1. Download the HP Print and Scan Doctor from the web.
  2. Follow the on-screen instructions to run the HP Scan and Doctor tool.
  3. Select your printer model from the list of printers displayed.
  4. Click the Fix Scanner Problem and inspect the test results.
  5. Insert an original document into the scanner to see whether the issue prevails.
  6. If the error prevails, service the printer in a certified service center.
