HP Tango X Review

A Convenient (but Disappointing) Wireless Printer

What are the highlights

HP Tango X is a small wireless printer that is best suited for home users. It is specially designed to work generally with the HP Smart application using an Android or iOS device. It mainly concentrates on accessing your documents and images that are saved in cloud. HP Tango X is unique in its capability to scan or copy an image taken with a smartphone. This may excite smartphone users. However, a keen interest for the availability of Tango is due to the inaccurate trimming of the smart application and its unsatisfactory copy quality.

How it will be used in today’s world

The text is frequently blurry beyond recognition and is unreadable with Android. In rare cases the text comes out pleasingly sharp. White-text pages come with a dark-gray background. Which is considered to be unusable. The sharpness of the text has improved dramatically when used by the iPhone, but the background is still gray. Illuminate the text with a 150-watt light bulb to get a light gray background. Color copies looks much better with iPhone. Color graphics are printed with sharp details and more accurate colors. Straight lines tend to come out with an arc, no matter how hard you position the camera.

What are pro’s and con’s

The print quality is very high. Text documents can be printed with sharp and dark letters. There is a noticeable variation if the documents are printed from an Android phone, however the difference is very small. While closely examining the printer, letter forms seem to be a little lighter and not crisp around its borders. Easily perform quick graphics and photo printing. Text printing is faster as it is compact and stylish in design. It has no flatbed scanner or control panel for stand-alone operation. The copy and scan quality will be very poor if done from a smartphone application.
