Hardware problem on hp deskjet 4625

  • Check if you have connected your HP Deskjet 4625 printer straight to an electrical outlet and not through a surge protector.
  • Remove all the ink cartridges and attempt to carry out a hard reset on your printer.
  • Turn On your printer.
  • The power cord needs to be detached from the printer and electrical outlet.
  • Detach the USB cable, if present.
  • Long press the power button on your printer for a few seconds to remove any additional charge.
  • Now, reconnect the power cable to an electrical outlet without using any surge protector or extension cords.
  • Plug the power cord back to your printer.
  • Turn On your printer.
  • Wait until the warm-up period completes, and your printer becomes idle. Load some plain white A4 or U.S. letter size paper inside the tray.
  • Insert the ink cartridges.
  • Click the Setup button on the control panel of your printer.
  • Hold the button next to the Down Arrow and wait for the Reports to appear near OK.
  • Select the button next to OK.
  • Tap the button next to the Down Arrow for the Printer Status Report to appear near OK.
  • Once again press the button next to OK.
  • A test page gets printed. If the above method resolves the problem and the test page gets printed, there is no necessity to troubleshoot further.
  • Reconnect the USB cable and try printing again to confirm whether the hardware works properly. If the test page gets printed successfully but you continue to experience a problem with your printer, then the issue is not related to hardware.
