HP Tango X, a Mobile-First Printer That Doesn’t Look Like One

When HP developed the Tango X, it had a question, What if a laser printer doesn’t look like one?

Tango X is designed specially for mobile devices which are driven by an OEM printer app, like IoT devices. It requires a mobile device for installation and setup. Tango X is a smart home device, and it lacks a screen, buttons, LEDs other than the power button LED, and a USB port.

Tango X diverges from typical bulky and thick, intrusive boxes that look like they belong only in a corporate office. The Tango X has a compact, simple design, with round corners, and woven fiber linen cover which covers the outside of the printer to help the Tango X mix into a room surrounding.

HP Tango will send a notification message to your smartphone so that you can stay connected from virtually anywhere. Start printing fast with seamless Wi-Fi network setup from your phone. HP Tango is the first printer with a cloud-based two-way network connection, that lets you print, scan, and copy from any device anywhere. With Instant Ink, HP Tango automatically orders ink when you’re running low. Quickly scan files from your phone and share to the cloud, e-mail, or print to the HP Tango. The app finds corners and automatically straightens edges.

HP Tango X can print up to twice as many pages with Original HP high-yield ink cartridges. Quickly print from a variety of smartphones, tablets, and laptops. Get voice-activated printing that saves your time and lets you get a hands-free printing experience.
